about Lochaber
Tigh-a-Ghlinne is an ideal base from which to explore the Outdoor Capital of the U.K. From our Bed and Breakfast near Banavie, it is a lovely walk down the Caledonian Canal to the Locks, the first boats passed through the canal in 1818.
There are mountain cycle tracks, and forest walks; Glen Nevis where Braveheart and parts of Rob Roy were filmed is 7 miles away. Climbers visit Fort William for climbing the highest mountain in the U.K., Ben Nevis.
